Couldn’t Be Happier With Our Custom Bi-Fold Door From Pergola Room

I recently installed a massive 14-foot by 8-foot custom fiesta42 bi-fold glass door from Pergola Room, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and final result.

At first, I was honestly nervous—this is a door that normally retails for $12,000–$14,000, and I had absolutely zero prior experience installing anything like this. But Pergola Room made the entire process incredibly smooth. Their team guided me step-by-step from the moment I provided my rough opening measurements to the point the door was delivered. The fact that the door is custom-built in Turkey and shipped directly made the quality and craftsmanship even more impressive.

Because I was able to work directly with Pergola Room—the manufacturer—I was able to get the entire unit for around $7,000, which is an amazing value for something of this size and build.

We installed the door in what used to be our garage, which we’re converting into a kids’ playroom. Once the driveway was paved, we envisioned an indoor-outdoor flex space where our kids can run freely in and out, and where we can host movie nights or even set up a golf simulator. With the doors closed, the amount of natural light and the view of the front yard are incredible—especially at sunset.

Surprisingly, despite my lack of experience, the installation itself was extremely straightforward. Because our framing was perfectly level and plumb, the actual install took only five hours from start to finish—much faster than I expected. The panels were easy to assemble, the hinge mechanism was simple to work with, and the entire frame went in seamlessly.

The doors feel solid, heavy-duty, and very well-sealed. The aluminum construction is sturdy, the gaskets are tight, and there’s absolutely no draft coming through. We’re excited to use the space more and continue testing the doors over time, but so far, they have exceeded all of our expectations.
